We finally have a launch date for Nokia's first 'iPhone killer'

The Nokia 8 will be launched on August 16, at an event in London. Although the device is not named in the invite it is certain this phone is the Nokia 8, a high-end Android phone that will join the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and the Nokia 3 in the company's product line-up. Few rumours claimed that the phone would be officially unveiled on July 31, but that's not the case now.

From what we know so far, the Nokia 8 will be a true Android flagship, with specifications to rival other big names.

One of the most talked about devices of this year, the Nokia 8, has been the subject of many leaks, including one which was clearly not intended. The rumoured specs is quite in line with other flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S8, HTC U11, and the OnePlus 5.

Nokia's ultra-budget smartphone dubbed as "Nokia 2" has allegedly surfaced in a recent GeekBench listing via Twitter.
