Announcing the arrangements on behalf of White's family, Gov. Greg Abbott said his predecessor's funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Second Baptist Church in Houston.

The state's 43 governor passed away at his home in Houston on Saturday at the age of 77. The Democrat was governor from 1983 to 1987.

White was a "good and decent man" and a natural as Texas governor who strived for improvements in education, according to Bush.

Along with George W. Bush and former first Lady Laura Bush, we also saw Energy Secretary and former Governor Rick Perry.
