Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) declared the result for the Compartmental exams of class 12 on Saturday, August 12.
Reportedly, a total of 1,30,474 students had registered to appear for the BSEB 12th compartment exam 2017 who have failed in the annual BSEB result 2017 which were declared on May 30.
The examination was conducted between July 3 and 13 this year. The total pass percentage of BSEB intermediate compartmental exam is 71.36 percent which is far better than previous year result.
"For the first time in the history of the BSEB, the results of compartmental examination have been declared within one month after the examination", BSEB chairperson Anand Kishor said. The board officials have worked hard to declare the results so early. Not more than 11 candidates were expelled during the examination for using unfair means, and all of them were from arts stream.Interestingly, girl candidates outshone boys again. Further reports state that the overall pass percentage recorded in the Bihar 12th compartment exams upon the declaration of the result of the same today, has come out to be at 71.36%.

This year the total number of girls applied for exams were less than the boys. Compartment result was held for the students who did not clear their High School (HSC) examinations. Out of the qualifying candidates, 48,878 girls passed as against 44,417 boys. For the Arts stream, the pass percentage has been recorded at 72.75 per cent, 69.29 per cent for Commerce and 70.3 per cent for Science stream. Out of which 142 first division, a 421-second division, and 74 third division.
