The striker sustained his injury in April in the final minutes of Manchester United's 2-1 victory over Anderlecht in the semi-final of the Europa League.

Zlatan is now on track for an October return, but will presumably have to train with the first-team before he can be considered match fit by the United boss.

"You know, in my initial analysis coming from January and progressively through the other months, I was thinking about four players", the United boss said before facing the Hammers on Sunday. It's not something that's urgent, it's not desperate to have it done or not.

'It was very clear by showing what he did a year ago was not enough for him.

"He thinks he can do more and wants more at the highest level, so we're having conversations and we're discussing the possibility of him to stay with us for the second part of the season".

Indisputably, N'Golo Kante enters the 2017-18 Premier League season as the best defensive midfielder/central midfielder. He needs time to recover", United manager Jose Mourinho said on Friday.

United To Offer £500,000-A-Week Deal To Lure High-Profile Attacker To Old Trafford?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has once again taken to social media to prove that he is 100% not human as he steps up his recovery from the ACL injury that brought a premature end to his 2016/17 season.

The Portuguese boss claim Mourinho is ready to hand him a £500,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford, with hopes that a look at the numbers will tempt him to make the move back to the Premier League.

The Red Devils often struggled to find a way past teams last term, when Zlatan Ibrahimovic provided the key impetus with 17 Premier League goals, although no other player was able to reach double figures.
