Stocks of the iPhone X could be low well into 2018

The highest number that Apple could achieve with the Watch Series 3’s stamina was 18 hours with no connection to LTE or even an iPhone

While Apple Watch shipments are well below iPhone shipments, Kuo says that investors should start keeping tabs on this new product, with shipments expected to surge much higher than previous generation models.

A couple of weeks ago, Kuo stated that Apple is only able to produce 10,000 iPhone X units per day although the Cupertino giant should be churning way more than that now that it has ramped up production.

Apple pushed back the release date of the iPhone X to encourage people to buy the iPhone 8, which is easier to avail since it has none of the fancy features of the iPhone X such as facial recognition and an all-glass exterior - not to mention a new display that takes up more than 90 percent of the phone's front. The latest iPhone, whose anniversary edition will go on sale on November 3 and pre-order will kick-off from October 27, will see limited supplies in the current financial year.

Ming-Chi Kuo cites "supply constraints" as the reason why Apple can't make these fancy iPhones fast enough, and the word on the Apple street is that it's to do with those premium OLED screens the company is sourcing from Samsung.

So, unlike the middle of winter when the wind blows through the trees, the leaves can act like little sails and capture more wind. Forecasters aren't yet sure of the storm's exact track, or how it will move later this week and into the weekend.

Those problems will mean that Apple will suffer from "severe short supply for a while". The devices will be made available in the market from September 22. As a result, there are all chances that there will not be any pre-orders for next six weeks for iPhone X. An expert belonging to a famous Taiwanese business group KGI Securities has predicted that with this scheme of action Apple itself is cannibalizing the sales of iPhone 8 smartphones.

Apple will begin taking pre-orders for the iPhone X from October 27, and will start shipping the unit worldwide, including India from November 3, as it confirmed at the launch event.

However, Kuo also noted that the new Apple Watch Series 3's GPS + Cellular version could be a runaway hit.
