Browns announce Kevin Hogan will start, DeShone Kizer to be backup

Kevin Hogan will replace Deshone Kizer as the staring quarterback of the Browns on Sunday, coach Hue Jackson announced this morning.

"He will ‪start on Sunday because that's what we feel is best for our team at this point in time".

The Cleveland Browns have chose to make a change at quarterback in the wake of some of the struggles that rookie DeShone Kizer has had in the early part of the season. "He's worked extremely hard and still very much has a bright future". Hogan seems to target rookie TE David Njoku more than Kizer did, which is exactly what we want for fantasy.

After five straight losses to open the season with rookie DeShone Kizer at quarterback, the Browns are moving on to starter No. 28.

Hogan, in his second National Football League season after Stanford, will be the 28th different Browns quarterback to start since 1999. He was named the Browns' starting quarterback entering the regular season but has struggled.
