Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare gets into the Halloween spirit with new event

In addition to Overwatch getting its next seasonal update soon, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is getting one as well (via Engadget). As you might expect, it comes with a trailer. Throughout the rest of the month, players can take part in an event dubbed "Willard Wyler's Halloween Scream". Tyler found the base game to be below average last year-here's his review in full.

There will also be free Halloween-themed supply drops each week, and some of the new holiday gun camos look pretty cool. This mode lets players take on their favourite bosses from each of the Infinite Warfare zombies modes, and obliterate the ones they hate the most.

To receive the free items during Halloween Scream, players need to log into multiplayer between Monday and Friday morning while online and visit the Quartermaster. Starting with the first chapter, Zombies in Spaceland, with two of the following chapters becoming available each week until the final battle in The Beast from Beyond.

Elsewhere, Gesture Warfare mode, in which teams attempt to fell opponents using weaponised gestures, is briefly back until October 12th, and the Carnage map from Infinite Warfare's Retribution DLC will be playable for everyone, with double XP rewards. The following day, developer Infinity Ward will introduce Boss Battle mode, which allows players to jump right into battles against the final bosses from the various Zombies DLC chapters. If you play the game on this map, you'll get double XP as well.
