He has been on the bench on four occasions this season, but has now appeared to question a Chelsea system notoriously tough to graduate from and which regularly sends dozens of young players out on loan rather than keeping them at Stamford Bridge.

Musonda made a decision to stay with Chelsea, but he hasn't received much playing time, as whilst he scored against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup, he has played just one minute in the Premier League this term.

"Smh." Lamisha commented on the Chelsea winger's Instagram post.

This appears to be the plight of Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda, who has been kept away from first-team football, despite being hailed amongst the best talents of the emerging era. Nathan Ake, who joined Bournemouth in the summer for £20million, is another example.

Defender Christensen is getting an opportunity this season after two successful years in the Bundesliga with Borussia Monchengladbach.

Passionate Musonda admitted he was so overwhelmed after scoring on his Blues debut that he cried.

Encarnacion, who had 38 home runs and 107 RBIs in the regular season, missed the past two games with a sprained ankle. While certainly on a different level, this series has been emotional for Girardi and the Yankees.

"It was an emotional moment to score my first goal at the Bridge". I had to wait for so long for the game to start, a 7.45pm kick-off, so when the game started I was at ease and I felt really good.

Boss Antonio Conte told Musonda to seize any chance he gets in Chelsea's star-studded team.

"Charly played very well", Conte said.

"He's a talented player and he has to continue in this way". We are working a lot with Charly in this aspect to be ready to play in this league.

Having spent time at Real Betis on loan, the Belgian returned to west London hoping for more chances to impress, with Conte promising him reward if he worked hard, but thus far such opportunities have been few and far between.
