Huawei's offshoot brand Honor launched the affordable dual-camera phone, aka the Honor 7X, in China on Wednesday. The Honor 7X succeeds the Honor 6X and is an upgrade in every respect to its predecessor. It has 1,080 x 2,160px resolution (407ppi) and it sits below a 2.5D glass. Huawei has put a 5.93-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) curved display featuring a 18:9 screen ratio support and minimal bezels in a unibody metal form factor. It comes with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of internal storage variants which can also be expanded via MicroSD upto 256GB. It gets a mid-range Kirin 659 Octa-Core processor that's mated to 4GB of RAM. With the in-house Histen sound algorithm, the device also offers 3D surround sound. The secondary sensor on the smartphone is used for measuring the depth-of-field in the image for offering better Bokeh effect. The tablet features a camera on the back as well as on the front side. It is equipped with a 3,340mAh non-removable battery that is rated to give up to 21 hours of talk time and lasts up to 22 days on standby.

Out of the box, it runs on EMUI 5.1 that's based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The smartphone is also IP67 certified that means the Honor 7X is water and dust resistant. The Honor 7X also supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM card slot. As for pricing, the Honor 7X with 32GB internal storage variant has been launched in China with a price tag of CNY 1299 (approximately Rs. 12,900), the Honor 7X with 64GB internal storage variant has been priced at CNY 1699 (approximately Rs. 16,850), while for the top-spec variant with 128GB internal storage, you have to pay CNY 1999 (approximately Rs. 19,800). The same rear camera sensors that accompany the Honor 9i rear.

The Honor 7X will come in Gold, Aurora Blue and Black colours.

Given the Honor 6X was released in India, we expect to see Honor 7X to launch in the country as well.
