Pranay Misra, a 28-year-old techie was working with Accenture hailing from Bhubaneshwar, was on his way to meet his girlfriend on his scooter when two motorcycle-borne youths accosted and stabbed him multiple times near Chocolate factory on Tavarekere Main Road on Monday. Karthik, who has a criminal record, and his friend, who were on the other two-wheeler, followed the techie and stabbed him, the police said, describing the killing as a case of road rage. Mishra, who belonged to Odisha's Bhubaneswar, was attacked while he was on his way to his partner's house. He was rushed to St John's Medical College Hospital by a few passerby who noticed him lying on the road. Madiwala police said Pranay partied at his friend residence and returned to his rented accommodation at 2.45am , As Reported By TOI.

The owner said his friends Karthik and Arun, had taken the vehicle on Sunday night. "This led to an angry exchange between them", Boralingaiah said.
