Deadline reports that Victor Garber, who has played Martin Stein (otherwise known as Firestorm) from the beginning, will depart the series in season 3. Actor David Hyde Pierce now plays the part in the hit Broadway revival, starring Bette Midler.
Though the departure has not been officially confirmed, the Hollywood trade reports that Garber's exit will presage a return to Broadway to star in a revival of the musical Hello Dolly! with Bernadette Peters, scheduled to debut in January 2018.
Given the show's production in Vancouver and the grueling schedule for filming a full season of episodes, it makes sense that Garber would exit Legends of Tomorrow in order to fulfill his stage duties in New York City. His other Broadway credits include ART, DAMN YANKEES, LEND ME A TENOR, NOISES OFF, LITTLE ME and DEATHTRAP.

Apple is working with LG Display on a foldable iPhone for 2020
These foldable displays will be OLED screens but the element of flexibility would be the distinguishing factor this time. So, in order to keep those leaks from Samsung Electronics, Apple will apparently have to settle for a later launch.
The next episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow is titled "Freakshow" and will air Tuesday, October 17. After wrapping his run on the show, which should be shortly, Garber is expected to move back to NY to start preparing for Hello, Dolly!
Legends of Tomorrow already seems to have a plan in place for Garber's exit. Still, with the time-travel nature of the superhero show, there is always a possibility for characters to be brought back.
Airing Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on The CW, DC's Legends of Tomorrow stars Victor Garber as Martin Stein, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary, Franz Drameh as Jefferson "Jax" Jackson/Firestorm, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/Atom, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen, and Nick Zano as Nate Heywood/Steel.
