Target Expands Google Express Offer Nationwide to Counter Amazon

Today, Google made two big announcements for those who prefer to leverage Google's services when shopping. That also means Target will be supported through the Google Assistant's voice ordering feature, which is so far only live on the Google Home and Android TV but is coming "soon" to iOS and Android as well. In addition, in 2018, Target shoppers will be able to link their and Google accounts, so the service will remember all their favorite items.

And lest Target's 1,816 USA stores be forgotten or foot traffic ignored, next year shoppers will be able to opt for in-store pickup of orders via Google Express.

"We're teaming up with Google to create innovative digital experiences using voice and other cutting-edge technologies to elevate Target's strength in style areas such as home, apparel and beauty", Target says.

Be on the lookout for additional features that bring together the best of Google and Target in the coming year.
