Two former UFC champions in Robbie Lawler and Rafael dos Anjos will square off in the main event at UFC Winnipeg on December 16, the heralded mixed martial arts promotion has formally announced. Standing in his way is another former world champion looking to cement his own place at the top of the division.
Dos Anjos (27-9) is also a former champion, at the 155-pound lightweight division.
The fight will headline UFC on FOX 26, which will take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After being knocked out by Tyron Woodley at UFC 201 in July 2016, he spent a year away from the cage before returning at UFC 214 this past July.
The fight for Lawler, now ranked as the No. 1 contender to Woodley's throne, will be just his second since losing the belt.
