Having already won league titles in England, Italy, Spain and Portugal; Mourinho has dropped a hint that he would be eager to manage Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 before he calls time on his managerial career.

The United boss is halfway through the three-year deal he signed to succeed Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford in 2016.

After winning the Europa League and the League Cup last season Mourinho has set his sights on the Premier League title with United but, following the 0-0 draw at Anfield, his side now trail free-scoring Manchester City by two points.

Manchester United's manager Jose Mourinho, center, looks on during a training session at Philip II Arena in Skopje, Macedonia, Monday, Aug. 7, 2017.

"The other day my son chose to go and watch a match in Paris rather than Manchester", he added.

"You English media have the answer for that because one day it says I am going to sign a five-year contract for one billion pounds for a season", Mourinho said.

"The only thing I said, and it's a true interpretation of my words, that I am not going to end my career at United".

"I ask how is it possible in modern football that a manager is going to last 15 or 20 years?"
