Focus Features has finally unveiled the highly anticipated first trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson's upcoming drama Phantom Thread starring Daniel Day-Lewis in what is expected to be his final on-screen performance, alongside Lesley Manville and Vicky Krieps.
Speaking of awards, if Day-Lewis were to win one last time for this film, he'd tie Katharine Hepburn for most Oscar wins ever, after he won Best Actor in My Left Foot, Lincoln, and There Will Be Blood.

Although Woodcock is a longtime bachelor with women coming and going from his life, that all changes when he meets a strong-willed young woman named Alma (Vicky Krieps), who becomes his muse and lover. From its location to its characters, Phantom Thread promises to be something out of Anderson's general wheelhouse. Each of his directorial efforts following 2002's Punch-Drunk Love have garnered at least two Oscar nods, with 2007's There Will Be Blood - also a Day-Lewis collaboration-winning the esteemed actor his second of three competitive trophies in the lead actor category.
