Not only because of the multiple bigs that were already on the roster, but also because of his style of play. Boston is averaging 39.3 points in the paint, the fourth-lowest mark in the National Basketball Association, and if nothing else, Okafor knows how to score around the basket. He can face his man and also play in the pick-and-roll, but teams in the National Basketball Association are starting to phase out the style of play that made him a highly-coveted lottery pick out of college.

Prior to the season, several analysts felt Okafor would have a breakout season, especially after undergoing a physical transformation. He's played just once this season.

At this time, Okafor's trade value is very low and the Sixers are hoping to at least get a draft pick in return.

The Bulls have emerged as a serious suitor for embattled Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor, according to NBA.com's David Aldridge.

West Ham appoint Moyes to succeed sacked Bilic
Former West Ham defender Arbeloa Arbeloa took a cruel view of Slaven Bilic's sacking - much to the anger of Hammers supporters. The 54-year-old has signed a contract until the end of the season and succeeds Slaven Bilic, who was sacked on Monday .

The two sides appear ready for a separation, as the Philadelphia 76ers declined to pick up Okafor's fourth-year option, while the 21-year-old big man has requested either a buyout or trade from the team. If they really want Okafor then they can just sign him to a contract in the summer.

"League sources indicate the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks are the most likely destinations for Okafor", Aldridge writes. Both teams are in the midst of a rebuild and a young player like Okafor would be able to freely make mistakes and grow on those teams.

Whether the Bulls want to take on Okafor as a midseason reclamation process remains to be seen, but the cost of doing business with the Sixers will likely be a second round pick.

Philadelphia's asking price may be a first round pick, which may be too high because the Hawks may end up with a top 5 pick in the 2018, which they desperately need to keep in their possession. For now, Okafor will remain on the Sixers' bench.
