Affleck, of course, took up the mantle of the famed DC character Bruce Wayne and his crime-fighting alter-ego Batman in 2016 with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and briefly reprised the character in the DC supervillain movie Suicide Squad later that year. The clip, which has been split across two tweets, will likely be pulled by Warner Bros.in the coming hours (if it hasn't already), so be sure to have a peek while you still can. However, unlike previous attempts to exit the DCEU, the actor is now reportedly looking for a "graceful and cool way to segue out of it".

In a profile published Monday by USA Today, Affleck revealed that he hasn't commited to appearing in Reeves' The Batman, and further is still contemplating if the movie is right for him. But they were followed by statements that the actor still had a desire to play the Dark Knight.

Affleck was initially in line to direct The Batman, before deciding to step down in order to focus on his performance. One of the unconfirmed reasons was that the script was poorly written.
