The actress turned herself in, was arrested, and booked in Virginia before being released on a $5,000 unsecured bond for felony possession of a controlled substance.

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority spokesman Andrew Trull says in an email Tuesday night that McGowan has surrendered to Airports Authority Police. McGowan tweeted earlier today about the warrant for her arrest.
