Met Police 'investigating second Kevin Spacey sex assault claim'

Kevin Spacey: UK police 'investigate sexual assault claim'

London's Metropolitan Police are understood to have launched an investigation into Kevin Spacey over a second alleged sexual assault during his time as artistic director of the Old Vic Theatre. The alleged victim is believed to have been an aspiring actor who sought career advice from Spacey.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police revealed that the alleged sexual assault took place in Lambeth, the area where the theatre is located.

"On Friday, November 17 a further allegation was made about the same man".

The new investigation centers on an alleged incident, or possibly incidents, in Lambeth dating back to 2005.

Met Police officers say they are looking into a claim that a man sexually assaulted another man in the London borough of Lambeth.

The American actor is facing numerous claims of sexual assault and harassment, as part of a broader scandal in Hollywood sparked by allegations against mogul Harvey Weinstein.

The alleged assault took place in London.

Spacey was artistic director of The Old Vic from 2004 to 2015.

Spacey has been accused of attempting to rape a 15-year-old boy in NY and of making advances on actor Anthony Rapp when he was 14 years old, 31 years ago. It said numerous alleged incidents took place at the theatre - located in the borough of Lambeth - and involved members of staff. The Old Vic said a "cult of personality" around Spacey had discouraged people from speaking out.
