Russell Wilson is the king of December.

Wentz ended 29-of-45 for 348 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Eagle defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz had Wilson backpedaling and running for much of the drive. Pederson failed to challenge a questionable lateral by Wilson that led to Seattle's final touchdown.

The Seahawks (8-4) answered every Eagles rally with one of their own.

The Seahawks (8-4) ended the Eagles' winning streak at 10 games and put themselves back into playoff position, thanks to the Atlanta Falcons' loss to the Minnesota Vikings earlier in the day.

He remained on the ground and appeared dazed following a hit over the middle by safety Bradley McDougled in the third quarter. It trickled out of the back for a touchback.

The biggest of them was one of those back-breakers that Wilson has made a specialty throughout his career, Wentz weaving his way through traffic in a deteriorating pocket and keeping his eyes downfield long enough to spot Nelson Agholor getting a couple of steps ahead of his man on the back side of the play. Wentz offered plenty of reminders of the X factors he himself brings, including a couple of huge throws on a quick 81-yard march down the field in the early minutes of the fourth quarter.

Referee Tony Corrente and his crew hit the Eagles with 44 yards' worth of penalties in the first quarter.
