Though, the makers haven't put the exact release date of the film.

This is the second time that the film has been postponed.

All the fans out there, you will have to wait for Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 a little longer now.

The film's producers also confirmed the news by releasing an official statement which read, "Lyca Productions - Superstar Rajinikanth - Akshay Kumar - Shankar magnum opus SciFi action thriller 2.0 to be screened worldwide on April 2018". The film was expected to release earlier in December this year but was later shifted to January 26 because of some post-production work.

Made at a whopping budget of Rs 400 crores by Lyca Productions, 2.0 is directed by Shankar and is touted to be Asia's costliest "natively acquired" 3D film.

Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India and Mahesh Babu's Bharath Ane Nenu were slotted to release in April. Akshay is making his south debut with Rajinikanth's film which also has Amy Jackson.

The audio launch of the film recently took place in Dubai and the telecast of the programme was carried out by Zee TV Tamil.
