In non-Android news, Qualcomm announced that Snapdragon Windows 10 laptops are finally going to be a thing, and they look pretty awesome. Frost didn't mention a stylus, but the machine was pictured with such a pen attached to its case, so it probably supports Windows Ink.
The laptop will run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and, in the most exciting of developments, battery life is promised to be huge. The device runs Windows 10 S out of the box, you will however able to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. However, we were equally anxious its launch would simply lead to another swath of cheap Windows 10 S devices created to compete with Chromebooks. Are you excited about these first Windows 10 on ARM PCs? Still, it's pretty thin and light. ASUS will offer the device for $599 ($799 for 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage) first in the US, UK, Italy, France, Germany, Mainland China and Taiwan, and is working with T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon to offer the NovaGo. The Envy X2 is very similar to numerous Surface Pro types of computers that already exist, while the NovaGo feels just like any other budget to midrange laptop. The NovaGo can be similarly equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but its fixed display is a 13.3-inch 1920 x 1080 pixel panel. The Envy relies entirely on USB Type-C ports for its input and output, while the Asus has full-size USB Type-A ports and an HDMI port. "The Envy x2 will have a Surface-like detachable keyboard and will be just 0.3" (6.9 mm) thick. This is a huge deal for a number of geeky tech reasons, but there's one huge takeaway for anyone who uses a PC: Battery life is about to get ridiculous.
