After days tentative rebukes and a call for an ethics investigation, Democratic senators are beginning to call for Sen.

Lindsay Menz, 33, of Frisco, Texas, told CNN last month she was groped by Franken in 2010 at the Minnesota State Fair.

The allegations against Franken began in mid-November when Los Angeles radio anchor Leeann Tweeden accused him of forcibly kissing her during a 2006 USO tour.

The aide, whose name POLITICO is withholding to protect her identity, said Franken (D-Minn.) pursued her after her boss had left the studio.

Six Democrats in the U.S. Senate, all women, on Wednesday called for Democratic Senator Al Franken to resign in light of the allegations of sexual misconduct against him.

"He was between me and the door and he was coming at me to kiss me", she told Politico.

Two other women have alleged to media outlets that Franken groped them but have requested anonymity.

"It is clear that Al Franken has engaged in a pattern of egregious and unacceptable behavior toward women, and he should resign", said Sen.

"Hearing Donald Trump say essentially the same thing that Al Franken said to me, which was 'It's my right as an entertainer, ' that was a real trigger", she told Politico.

"This allegation is categorically not true and the idea that I would claim this as my right as an entertainer is preposterous", Franken said. "I look forward to fully cooperating with the ongoing ethics committee investigation", Franken said in a statement, according to Politico.

This comes just hours after the seventh woman came forward to accuse Franken of sexual misconduct. Franken said he did not remember the rehearsal the same way but apologized for the incident.
