That new rumoured Portal game? It's a Bridge Constructor spin-off

"For the past year we've been secretly working in our underground labs on the next iteration of the million-selling Bridge Constructor series", reads a statement from Headup.

"Hello and welcome back to the Aperture Science computer-aided enrichment center". You can see it for yourself in the announcement trailer below.

It's probably not where anybody expected Portal to go after Portal 2 and VR playground The Lab, but sometimes you've gotta build a few bridges to get where you're really going.

The adaptation of the Bridge Constructor physics puzzle series launches December 20 for Mac, Windows, Android and iOS.

Valve's Portal series has a new entry - sort-of - in the form of a Bridge Constructor spin-off.

The Windows, MacOS, Linux and smartphone versions all launch on December 20th, with the console versions (including Switch of course) coming in early 2018. And while Headup Games has not issued an official press release yet, you can find below its first in-game screenshots. Putting portals into your designs, or possibly using gel in later stages, will certainly help create more challenging puzzles for players to solve.
