Wind advisory for northern counties extended

After a record high of 84 Monday, a strong cold front arrived overnight. A Wind Advisory until 6PM CST is in effect for all of northern IL into eastern Iowa and across much of Wisconsin, as well as northern in into a good portion of Lower Michigan.

The advisory warns of gusts of up to 50 miles per hour, which could make driving hard and give way to hazardous conditions in some areas.

Winds will be north northeast from 20 to 35 miles per hour, with localized gusts over 50 miles per hour. West 15 to 30 miles per hour with gusts possible to 40 miles per hour.
