At present, Season 8 is now filming but in a recent interview with Variety, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) said that they've still got "six or seven months left" of filming. It turns out, Game Of Thrones Season 8 premiere date won't likely be until 2019.

"Game of Thrones" had previously stuck to a pretty consistent release schedule, but the seventh season was delayed out of necessity because "winter had finally arrived" in Westeros, therefore meaning that filming had to wait until later in the year.

During the interview, the 21-year-old actress also discussed her upcoming projects including Dark Phoenix and Girl Who Fell From The Sky. Then I have a couple indie movies coming out.

In the same interview, Turner teased a bit to Sansa Stark's storyline in the final season: "This season, there's a new threat, and all of a sudden she finds herself somewhat back in the deep end".

Game of Thrones is based on the novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin. "They were in control of the North again".

This could be an errant slip of the tongue since everyone has already been speculating that HBO might not meet the predicted premiere date in 2018, but if anyone knows the inside scoop, it's Turner. And without Littlefinger, it's a test for her of whether she can get through it ... It's a big challenge for her, without this master manipulator having her back.

When will HBO air the final Game of Thrones season? "We're all kind of feeling the end of it coming", she said.
