Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey appears close to a deal to join WWE. More

According to two sources speaking with USA Today, Rousey is finalizing details of her move to WWE. The WWE did not immediately respond when contacted by USA TODAY Sports on Wednesday. In a video posted to her Twitter account on December 1st previewing Rousey's new website, footage was shown of Rousey training at the WWE Performance Center.

The person with the greatest business interest in seeing Rousey return to fighting essentially ruled it out recently.

Ronda Rousey might be looking to win a WWE championship belt. "I wouldn't want it to happen", White said.

"I wouldn't want to see it", White told MMAjunkie. The UFC's first female fighter, Rousey began her MMA career 12-0, usually dispatching her foes shortly into the first round, and won acclaim for her skills, looks and charisma. She's got enough money and all of that stuff.

Such certainty makes this an opportunistic time to evaluate what Rousey brought to mixed martial arts during her frenetic and remarkable reign.

Add the almost fit-again Adam Lallana to that mix and suddenly you have one of the most exciting attacks left in the competition. Sadio Mane gets a recall in attack as he plays alongside Mohamed Salah , Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino .

Willie Taggart leaves OR for FSU, Cristobal named interim head coach
The Ducks were 7-5 in Taggart's lone season and will play in the December 16 Las Vegas Bowl against No. 25 Boise State. However, it's not just OR players that have been chiming in on Taggart's seeming change of heart.

Rally to preserve Net Neutrality
Lawmakers in Washington may end net neutrality next week, and that could be bad for small businesses on the High Plains. Pai wants to repeal the Obama- era laws, regulate the internet and rewrite the laws of net neutrality.

Whether that actually happens remains to be seen, but Rousey is legitimately a huge name who can attract a wide audience in WWE regardless of what she does.

Ronda previously made a special appearance at WrestleMania 31 in 2015, joining The Rock in-ring to confront Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, with the then-UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion throwing Triple H with a hip-toss. While it's unknown what Baszler's intentions are upon arrival at NXT, one has to wonder if revenge is on her mind for losing to Kairi Sane in the finals. Now, it's quite possible that didn't directly factor in Rousey much, as this was about lower-tier broadcast fights rather than the better PPV fights she would have likely been in, but there was still maybe the idea of her showing up on some broadcast properties from time to time.

"Ronda changed the game for all of us", recently deposed women's strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk said.

When Rousey came into the UFC she was a trailblazer. Furthermore, she isn't just an attraction as a former UFC star, because, again, she does love pro wrestling and knows plenty about it.
