Ed Sheeran receives an MBE from the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace

The 26-year-old today accepted an MBE from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.

Ed Sheeran may not be a Grammy contender for Album of the Year or Song of the Year (which he's totally fine with, by the way), but he is the recipient of one of the highest honors an English lad can get. The honor is reserved for those with outstanding accomplishments or who are of great service to their communities.

The singer-songwriter said he had not been asked by the prince and his fiancée to perform but revealed he would be willing to if he was asked.

Looking at the trailer, World War Z appears to be a survival shooter title, as you try to live against the zombie hordes. As far as goals, features, mechanics, and length are concerned, we don't get any details on that stuff.

When asked how he felt about receiving the accolade, Sheeran said he believed his grandfather would be quite proud of him.

'I think talent is like 30% of it and persistence, drive and self belief are the other ones, which I guess are all the same thing'.

Even though we think that Sheeran is one talented guy, his persistence is definitely admirable, and does have a lot to do with his eventual success in the music industry, so bravo.

Double Grammy victor Ed, from Suffolk, remained modest about his achievements saying he didn't have "vast talent" compared to other artists but his "persistence, drive and self belief" had paid off.
