The J.A. Bayona-directed sequel to Jurassic World, the reboot to 2015's Jurassic Park franchise, sees several of the first installment's characters returning. That premise alone has me captured my interest in a new "Jurassic World" sequel. Here's everything you need to know about the film thus far. Pratt's pet raptor Blue is back, and so is a T-Rex, because it's not a "Jurassic Park/World" movie without one. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, now tasked with saving Ingens most recent creations from becoming extinct once again.

And it's looking... good if you like the sound of dinosaurs falling off a cliff!

Stars Pratt and Howard return alongside executive producers Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. But that doesn't mean you can't hit replay on the trailer a dozen times before then and begin speculating about how exactly it all plays out.

Thankfully, it will come just three years after the last film in the franchise, which looked dead after Jurassic Park III in 2001.

The director, best known for his work on The Impossible and A Monster Calls, said his aim was to recreate the spirit of the first film in the series, released in 1993.
