Nassar also faces sentencing in two state courts after pleading guilty last month to seven counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving girls who were 15 years old or younger Ingham County in Michigan, as well as three other counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in Eaton County, Michigan. Those sentences, which will be served consecutively with his federal sentence, will be handed down next month.

The child pornography sentence brought Nassar a step closer to justice for many survivors, whom Nassar sexually assaulted years ago under the guise of a medical treatment.
Nassar pleaded guilty in July to receiving child pornography in 2004, possessing child pornography from 2003 to 2016 and destroying and concealing evidence in 2016 as he was under investigation, according to the U.S. attorney's office for the Western District of MI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sean Lewis said that Nassar had "amassed a collection that is just shockingly huge". Investigators were only able to obtain those hard drives at Nassar's Holt property because the garbage truck happened to be running late that day, according to court records.
Nassar said it was a disease he had been struggling with for years and he hoped he could be forgiven.
He'll be sentenced in those cases in January.
