Eagles' Carson Wentz (knee) out for remainder of Sunday's game

If we take a gander at Wentz's left knee after this one play in particular, it's readily apparent that there was some structural damage to that part of the quarterback's body.

A sight that no Philadelphia Eagles fan wants to see is Carson Wentz leaving a game early with an injury.

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has been one of the best stories of the 2017 National Football League season. He remained in the game, and threw a touchdown pass to Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey. Wentz, who was selected second in the 2016 draft, was 23 of 41 for 291 yards with four touchdown passes and an interception before exiting.

The Rams scored to regain the lead on the ensuing possession and Nick Foles took over at quarterback trailing 35-31.

With their largest turnout of the season, and a chance to vault into the No. 2 seed against a team widely considered the best in their conference, the Rams couldn't hold on to a fourth-quarter lead at home.
