Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to embark on six-day India visit on Sunday

In what the Ministry of External Affairs has called a "return visit", Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will begin a six-day, four-city visit to India on Sunday, January 14.

A delegation of 130 businessmen will accompany Netanyahu, who will enhance trade talks between the two countries especially on the defence sales. Both the leaders are likely to visit Sabarmati Ashram, abode of Mahatma Gandhi.

Along with Modi, the Israeli Prime Minister will participate in an Indo-Israeli CEOs' meet and address the Raisina Dialogue Series before moving to Gujarat where they are scheduled to launch projects.

"We have uprgaded our relationship to strategic level with special focus on agriculture and water", he said.

The bilateral trades between the two countries is 5 billion U.S. dollar.

In Gujarat, the Indian and Israeli Prime Ministers will visit the Center of Excellence in Vadrad and inaugurate a Center of Excellence for date palms in Bhuj via video conference.
