President Donald Trump's former chief strategist Steve Bannon was a "bad hire", said former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci in an interview Tuesday.

Several months into Trump's tenure as President, the controversial political figure was sacked from the White House.

Breitbart News confirmed his departure as chairman on Tuesday.

Reports immediately surfaced that Breitbart executives had begun discussions about life after the man responsible for turning it into a voice of the alt-right.
