Baylor coach Matt Rhule has withdrawn his name a day after news got out that he interviewed with the team earlier this week.
Baylor was 1-11 last season but Rhule has put together a recruiting class in the top 25 according to 24/7 Sports.
"I can certainly tell everyone right now that Matt Rhule is our head football coach, is going to be our head football coach and is excited about being our head football coach", Rhoades said. He became a top candidate to jump to a Power 5 school on the back of those 10-win campaigns, and somehow (for lack of better options?) made a decision to tackle the multi-faceted rebuilding situation at Baylor.

Florida man pockets $281 million for winning Mega Millions jackpot
His lawyer said his client had "retired" from his job at a company that carried out employment background checks. A 20-year-old Florida man has come forward to claim last week's $ 451 million Mega Millions jackpot.
Rhule has previous coaching experience in the National Football League as the New York Giants' offensive line coach back in 2012.
Rhule was an assistant coach at Temple from 2006-2011 before landing back there as head coach in 2013.
The Indianapolis Colts aren't leaving any stone unturned in an attempt to replace the recently fired Chuck Pagano at head coach. While Rhule doesn't have much in terms of head coaching experience, he is thought to be an up and coming offensive mind. However, it seems he's taken himself out of the running for the Colts' open position. But if Colts general manager Chris Ballard feels he'll have to go off the proverbial grid to find a head coach, interviewing Rhule fits that mode perfectly.
