Baylor coach Matt Rhule has withdrawn his name a day after news got out that he interviewed with the team earlier this week.
Baylor was 1-11 last season but Rhule has put together a recruiting class in the top 25 according to 24/7 Sports.
"I can certainly tell everyone right now that Matt Rhule is our head football coach, is going to be our head football coach and is excited about being our head football coach", Rhoades said. Rhule has previous coaching experience in the National Football League as the New York Giants' offensive line coach back in 2012.

The Indianapolis Colts aren't leaving any stone unturned in an attempt to replace the recently fired Chuck Pagano at head coach. While Rhule doesn't have much in terms of head coaching experience, he is thought to be an up and coming offensive mind. However, it seems he's taken himself out of the running for the Colts' open position. But if Colts general manager Chris Ballard feels he'll have to go off the proverbial grid to find a head coach, interviewing Rhule fits that mode perfectly.
