A withering spell by Trent Boult saw New Zealand destroy Pakistan by 183 runs in the third ODI to comfortably wrap up the series in Dunedin on Saturday.

A French-cut four by Amir from the bowling of Lockie Ferguson took Pakistan past the dreaded total of 35, then Sarfraz managed to guide his team beyond Pakistan's lowest-ever one-day total of 43 against the West Indies in 1993.

Martin Guptill struck an unbeaten 86 to power New Zealand to an eight-wicket victory via Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method over Pakistan in the second one day worldwide at Saxton Oval, Nelson on Tuesday.

For the third match in a row, New Zealand will field an unchanged lineup.

NZ were 3/209 at one stage before losing 7/48 on their way to 257 all out, with captain Kane Williamson's innings of 73 off 101 the highest of the match.

Taylor was able to score more freely, perhaps because conditions favored the straight-bat shots which are his forte, and reached his 40th ODI half century from 49 balls.

Guptill and Kane Williamson the added 46 for the second wicket before the skipper was caught by Shadab Khan at the backward point off Faheem Ashraf.

In the last eight overs, when New Zealand needed to lift the run rate, they were restricted to 48 runs and lost seven wickets of which 11 runs came in the final over.
