LSU running back Derrius Guice declares for 2018 NFL Draft

RB Guice opts for NFL Draft over staying in school

As expected, Derrius Guice goes pro; so, who replaces him?

It isn't much of a surprise, but star LSU RB Derrius Guice has declared for the 2018 NFL Draft.

Rob Rang, a senior analyst for NFLDraftScout.com, rated Guice as a top-10 pick before his injury-plagued junior season and still has him ranked in the top 25.

Guice announced his decision late Wednesday afternoon in a video posted on Twitter.

He is projected to go in the first round of the National Football League draft according to analysts. "I am grateful and excited to start this new journey".

DeMarco Murray ruled out vs. Patriots
Cornerback Logan Ryan , a former Patriots player now with the Titans, has been limited in practice with an ankle injury. They will be facing a Patriots team that has had some distractions since the last time they played.

USA settles near 3-year highs despite United States inventory rise
Distillates production averaged 5.592 million b/d the week ending December 29, an all-time high for the second period in a row. Accordingly crude import bill will rise by around USD 1.5 billion for every dollar increase in crude price, the report said.

New York Jets vs New England Patriots
The Patriots have not looked as breathtaking as the forecasts back in July, back before their medical tent filled up. The Jets have fought hard all season long and are 9-1-1 against the spread when they're coming off a loss.

"Growing up here in Baton Rouge, it was always my dream to attend LSU", Guice said. Guice eventually broke through, running rampant for 276 yards against the Ole Miss in LSU's 40-24 win. He was then bottled up for the next stretch, failing to rush for more than 76 yards in each of the next four games. He was even better as a sophomore, piling up 1,387 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.

The 5-foot-11, 220-pound Guice rushed for 1,251 yards and 11 touchdowns this past season. Guice set the single-season school record for rushing yards in a 285-yard effort against Texas A&M in the 2016 season finale.

Guice joins offensive tackle Toby Weathersby, outside linebacker Arden Key and cornerbacks Kevin Toliver and Donte Jackson as LSU's early entrants in this year's draft class. He immediately profiles as high as the second-highest graded runner in the draft behind Penn State's Saquon Barkley.
