Man United boss Jose Mourinho gives big Zlatan Ibrahimovic update

Ibrahimovic returned from a six-month absence from a serious knee injury in November but after making a handful of appearances he aggravated the injury last month.

Speaking during a press conference at the Aon Training Complex on Friday, Mourinho said: "Zlatan is injured, or is not totally happy with his condition".

"He fought like a tiger to be back which he did". "He consulted our doctors and made the decision to stop. When [he is] feeling good, [he will] come back to work".

Ibrahimovic, unable to find his rhythm since returning from a long-term problem to the same knee past year, will now spend time recovering before beginning to build up fitness once again in a couple of weeks' time.

They welcome managerless Stoke City to Old Trafford on Monday evening, and the home win can be backed at a price of 2/9.
