The Longhorns took down No. 16 TCU 99-98 in double overtime, just hours after the university announced that guard Andrew Jones had been diagnosed with leukemia.

"This is obviously a hard situation for our family, and we hope everyone will respect our privacy at this time", the Jones' family statement said.

Longhorns coach Shaka Smart offered his support in a statement through the Texas men's basketball Twitter account.

It was one of many demonstrations of emotion for Smart after a hard day.
