While Apple with the introduction of iPhone X basically set the trend, more and more smartphones are coming with facial recognition security, which offers a new way for users to secure their smartphone. The most important is Face Unlock, the one feature that many handset makers have chose to add to their smartphones, some even after the launch of their products.
Honor has announced today rollout of the much-awaited software update via OTA that will enable Face unlock feature through intelligent face recognition in Honor View 10. However, with the new update, the company is adding several new functionalities. The rollout has begun on January 17 and is expected to reach all units by January 24. However, it is to be noted that the Face Unlock feature won't work when your eyes are closed.
The other features include the ability to not turn off the display if the user does not interact with the screen but looks at the phone.
The View 10 user can check the update by going to Settings System and System update.
