Facing a golden opportunity to pick a marquee victory over a ranked opponent, Nebraska needed a near ideal performance on both ends of the floor in order to pull off an upset of red-hot No. 23 MI.
James Palmer Jr. led Nebraska with a game-high 19 points, including a 3-pointer that put MI behind, 56-39, with 7:32 remaining.
The Huskers led for more than 30 minutes of game time and handed MI its most lopsided loss of the season.

Matthews also committed three turnovers, part of rare sloppy offensive showing for MI. Nebraska held Michigan's leading scorer Moritz Wagner to a season-low two points.
