About 13 people were injured, five seriously, when a train failed to brake and hit a barrier at Richmond in Sydney's north-west this morning.
"It's everything from walking patients with minor injuries to patients that will require hospital transport", said Chris Bray, Ambulance NSW spokesman, adding that 15 people had been injured.
The accident happened at Richmond station round 10am, but it took almost an hour to free the trapped.
At least six ambulances and a helicopter were at the scene, according to the ABC.

Witnesses told 2GB the scenes were chaotic.
He said the train was still on the rails, and investigators had been advised of the incident.
"It is obviously very concerning", he said.
"I was on the platform and I was just waiting for the train and I saw it coming in hot, there was no braking whatsoever", he said.
Pictures from the scene show considerable damage caused to both the inside and outside of the train, as well as to the platform.
"There was a huge amount of dust", he said.
