At a time when India and China are constantly engaged in border disputes, Indian superstar Aamir Khan has reached out to China in a bid to bridge a gap between the two countries. Incidentally, the film has an impressive audience rating on Chinese ticketing and fan rating sites, even higher than Dangal, which grossed an approximate $200 million in the country.
"Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures: "#SecretSuperstar packs a SOLID PUNCH in its opening weekend in China. "Secret Superstar debuts at No. 1 spot at China box office and collects a whopping $ 6.79 million (43.35cr) on Friday". Secret Superstar made $10.45 million on Saturday, taking its two day total to over $17 million (Rs 110 crore). Crosses India *lifetime biz* in 2 days flat... Secret Superstar earned United States dollars 6.88 million on its first day, while Dangal had earned USD 2.35 million on its opening day.
