A teenage student at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, where 17 people were killed and a dozen others injured after a gunman stormed the school with an AR-17 rifle, has hit out at Donald Trump Jr., calling him "immature". "We want to do this because we love our city and our school so much", said Lizzie Eaton, another Stoneman Douglas student. The company said in a statement that its system "misclassified" the video because it "contained footage from an authoritative news source". When you go to the video's page, it now says that it was "removed for violating YouTube's policy on harassment and bullying".
US Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida came forward in defense of the student on social media as the false theories continued circulating.
A Twitter user identified as "Laguna Beach Antifa" on Tuesday posted what they said was a photo of Hogg and his classmates in a yearbook, claiming it was from Redondo Shores High School in California and that Hogg graduated in 2015.

"Unlike the people who are tweeting that stuff about me and my dad, I haven't lost hope in America and my dad hasn't either", said Hogg with his father by his side.
The video in question used clips from local news reports, which is one of the reasons it slipped through the cracks on the platform.
Some, meanwhile, have used Hogg's criticism about the Federal Bureau of Investigation, combined with the fact that his father is a former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, to suggest some conspiracy aimed at hurting President Donald Trump.
YouTube did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the conspiracy video, or its policy for similar situations.
An article published in the Coral Springs Talk on February 8, six days before the shootings, names Hogg as a senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas and features a documentary he made about astronomy students' efforts to launch a weather balloon and an attached craft into space. At publication time, the top three search results for "David Hogg" on the video sharing site weren't related to the student speaking up to combat mass shootings.
