Although the battle royale game has been available on Xbox One and PC since July of past year, mobile games were just announced on March 10.
We're happy to announce today that in partnership with our friends at Microsoft, Fortnite will feature cross-play, cross-progression, and cross-purchase, between Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS and (in the next few months) Android.
Unfortunately though, it appears that cross-play won't happen between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players. The blog reads, "On phones and tablets, Fortnite is the same 100-player game you know from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac". The Xbox One is still a console and built with the same x86 architecture like the PS4, there shouldn't be any technical differences that would prevent both systems from cross-play. "Microsoft has always been a leading voice in encouraging the adoption of cross-platform play and the potential of connecting players across PC, mobile and all consoles".
In case you noticed the first list mentions Xbox, but the second does not, and this is because Sony is still not quite ready to let their PlayStation Network mingle with Xbox users.

West Ham security needs radical overhaul says Hammers legend Sir Trevor Brooking
Moments after Ashley Barnes gave Burnley the lead, West Ham captain Mark Noble tried to physically force one fan from the field. He ran on the pitch and I wouldn't say I felt threatened but if someone approaches me I am going to look after myself.
"We have been working closely with the team at Epic Games for some time to bring this functionality to all current and future versions of Fortnite and expect it to be available on Xbox along with other platforms", says a Microsoft spokesperson.
The pair of announcements detailed cross-platform play between the PlayStation 4, Mobile, and PC.
Fortnite Battle Royale is free across all platforms and it's coming to iOS and Android soon.
