La Marque Waffle House employee, Evoni Williams, 18, was working behind the counter when an elderly customer with an oxygen tank was having a tough time to cut his food.
As a result of her kindness, Texas Southern University has awarded her with a $16,000 scholarship - she can finally begin studying business management. "That just meant something to me", Wolf said in an interview.
Despite being busy with work, Evoni took his plate without any hesitation and began dividing his food into smaller pieces. Over 140,000 people had reacted to the Facebook post and more than 70,000 have shared it at the time of publishing this story.
But on March 3rd what she did for a sick elderly customer was captured in a photo that went viral.
Since no act of kindness goes unnoticed or wasted, the teenager soon received a big surprise.
Wolf told KHOU, "It was so busy in here, and she actually took the time to stop and hear what he had to say instead of walking past him".
