As this strengthening is taking place, cold air will wrap around from the northwest, changing any rain or rain/snow mix over to all snow. Highs bump up a bit, into the lower 40s, Thursday, with the help of a little more sunshine, however, the breeze is still with us. Expect snow showers and squalls, especially in the morning. Although the weather looks fairly quiet the rest of the week, it also will be cooler than average for March and feel more like winter than February did around here.

We are tracking the slim potential to see isolated storms early this evening but any there is only a 2-3 hour window to see any storms.

A cold front this evening will has brought increasing clouds with spotty light rain and snow showers possible, mainly over the higher terrain. The heaviest amounts from this first round of wet weather will occur between 2am and 2pm on Tuesday. A few spotty rain showers will be possible in Eastern Kentucky.
