Lesnar's new WWE deal permits at least 1 UFC fight

Middleton wrote "there were words exchanged" but that things didn't get physical before Lesnar left with advocate Paul Heyman.

The biggest surprise of WrestleMania 34 was not Asuka losing to Charlotte Flair or Ronda Rousey looking like a natural inside the squared circle. But Mooneyham and myself, believe WWE may have other cards to play before the big summer event.

It has been four days since WrestleMania 34, and the main event finish continues to be a hot topic of discussion, as has been the future of Brock Lesnar following the announcement that he has re-signed with WWE and will be defending the Universal Title against Roman Reigns at Greatest Royal Rumble.

That did not turn out to be the case, however, as Lesnar defeated the battered and bloody Reigns to retain his championship. "After all, this was supposed to be the night Reigns finally got the prize that had eluded him for years". Did Lesnar's win mean that he will be sticking with the WWE long-term?

Over on Twitter, Bleacher Report's Jeremy Botter passed along some of the information he received recently pertaining to this whole Lesnar situation. Lesnar is still allowed to negotiate with UFC and if he does fight then it would happen after his WWE deal expires.

At the time of the announcement, details on Lesnar's new deal were scarce.

Supposedly, WWE chairman Vince McMahon didn't have Reigns win the title at WrestleMania 34 due in part to the crowd making it known that they do not want to see that.

Should Roman Reigns walk away from Saudi Arabia as the Universal Champion?

"The popular opinion has been that should Lesnar return to the Octagon after serving his required one-year suspension, then he would immediately receive a heavyweight championship match against the victor of the superfight coming up between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier in July at UFC 226", Jorgenson explains.

From there, Reigns will likely go on the lengthy title run that he surprisingly hasn't really had thus far in his career.

White insisted that Lesnar will return to UFC but is not yet sure about the exact date.

The company has painted itself into a corner regarding what it can do with Lesnar.

According to Ringside News, he said: "The decision was actually made, the agreement was made for Lesnar to stay right on the Monday they did that interview".
