"I'd love to see if he thinks he's going to prove any of this", Troiani told The Associated Press. How very wrong it was'.
Cosby's defense tried to impeach her credibility by hammering Dickinson on a very different description written in her book where she said she rebuffed Cosby at his door and went to her room and passed out.
"I couldn't fight him off", testified Andrea Constand, then operations manager for the women's basketball team at Temple University and now a massage therapist living in Canada.
Looking back on the first day of her nightmarish trip with Cosby, the supermodel said she remembered having dinner with him and music director Stu B. Gardener before following the actor to his room.
She responded by telling the jurors that she wanted to highlight the details of that night, but ultimately chose to just write a sanitized version that did not include sex, let alone rape, because her publishers told her that the legal department would never print allegations made against Cosby.
On cross-examination, Cosby's attorney Tom Mesereau asked why a passage in Dickinson's 2002 book about the Lake Tahoe visit does not say she and Cosby had sex. She conformed to her publisher because she needed the money, as well as not wanting Cosby ruining her career. He is charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault. He says their encounter was consensual. Though Constand had testified against Cosby in 2017, she will have to testify again in the ongoing retrial, as the first trial had been declared a mistrial when the jury couldn't reach a verdict.
The defense has dismissed the other women's testimony as "prosecution by distraction".
When asked why she hadn't called the cops immediately after the alleged incident, Dickinson explained, "Because I finally made it as a model and had conservative clients, shows, TV commercials, Revlon and I had clients that would not appreciate the fact that I had been raped and gone to police and I felt victimized".
I couldn't move. I was I felt like I was rendered motionless.
Though he had made two passes at her, she said she was clear to him that she had no romantic interest in him, and she testified that she did not feel threatened by him.

He reaffirmed Russia's view that a purported chemical attack in the Syrian town of Douma that prompted the strike was a fake. Just weeks ago, Trump said he wanted to end USA involvement in Syria and bring American troops home to focus on the homeland.
Cosby, who was 45 at the time, wanted to fly her to Lake Tahoe, where he was performing.
The morning after the alleged rape, Dickinson said she woke up in her own hotel room, mostly unclothed, and was sore between her legs. She told the jurors that the comedian allegedly gave her a rounded blue pill by telling her that it would ease her menstrual cramps. "I said, 'I trust you.' I took the pills, and I swallowed the pills down". "It was a little round pill".
"I didn't want it to happen to anybody else, what had happened to me", she said. "Slightly out of it". Confronting Cosby later that day, she demanded to know why he did it. Soon after, she said, Cosby pounced on her.
Though he was known as "America's Dad" from his years on "The Cosby Show", which aired from 1984 to 1992, his image crashed in 2014 as the women went public with their claims.
"He got on top of me and his robe opened and I remembered he smelled like cigars and espresso and his body odor".
Defense lawyers were expected to cross-examine Dickinson later Thursday.
On Thursday, April 12, 2018, Dickinson took the stand and claimed that Cosby had drugged and raped her in 1982. Cosby had previously offered to mentor Dickinson, who was 27 at the time and eager to become an actress. She came forward in April 2015, a few months after lawyer Gloria Allred proposed that Cosby set aside a chunk of his fortune to compensate accusers.
Afterward, Constand said, "I was really humiliated". Constand said she blacked out.
Dickinson is one of the five other accusers of Cosby to testify against his retrial.
Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt described the women as the supporting cast for chief accuser Andrea Constand.
