Facebook user issues death threat to Parmish Verma claims he shot the singer

Punjabi singer Parmish Verma, who shot into fame with his song "Gaal Nahin Kadhnai", and his friend were shot at in Mohali on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, wanted gangster Dilpreet Singh Dhahan claims responsibility of the attack. According to a TOI report, the singer was shot right outside his housing society in sector 91 Mohali.

The singer was immediately admitted to Fortis Hospital and was later reported to be out of danger.

A case has been registered in this regard, police said, adding that investigation was underway, and will take statements from the injured. He updated his Facebook status with a picture of himself holding a gun and a cross against Verma's face. "Cyber experts of the district police are trying to find the from where the post was uploaded and whether it is authentic or it was an attempt to distract the police investigation", he said. The post has already been shared 41 times.

Later in the day, a gangster Dilpreet Singh Dhaha owed up to the shooting and bragged about it on his Facebook profile.
