Wolverhampton Wanderers promoted to the Premier League

Third-placed Fulham conceded a 94th-minute equaliser in a 1-1 home draw on Saturday to hand automatic promotion to Nuno Espirito Santo's men with four games to spare.

The leaders have taken the division by storm this season although their promotion is not without controversy following their tie-up with Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes.

Ruben Neves - signed from Porto for a record £15.8m during the summer - made his mark on the scoreboard early in the second half, with one of the best goals you're likely to see scored at any level this campaign.

I was surprised because there was good concentration before the game and to concede these two goals so quickly, it was hard to accept.

Wolves are only in action on Sunday against Birmingham City but, due to Fulham dropping points against Brentford, their promotion was secured.

Nuno has guided Wolves to the Premier League in his first season in charge.

Derby County, surprisingly beaten 3-1 by bottom club Burton Albion, drop out of the remaining playoff places, which are now occupied by Aston Villa, who beat Leeds United on Friday night, Middlesbrough and Millwall.
